Shoot Her in the Head, Wardell!

So this is not exactly specific to science fiction or fantasy, but it is gay. Really gay. And I’m a firm believer that the fanboy spectrum covers a lot of ground. If you haven’t seen the hilarious cult classic Sordid Lives, then please do so…immediately. You will not regret it. And if you’re like me, you’ll watch it a million times and then quote it on a daily basis. Sordid Lives was written by Del Shores, the brilliant author of Southern Baptist Sissies and Daddy’s Dyin’…Who’s Got the Will. Having said all that, hold on to your Tammy Wynette wigs, because the Sordid Lives TV series is scheduled to premiere July 23 at 10:00PM on Logo. Miraculously, the cast features many from the film, including Bonnie Bedelia, Beth Grant, Olivia Newton-John and Leslie Jordan. Joining them are new additions and gay icons Rue McClanahan and Caroline Rhea.

Check out the teaser trailer here and be sure to tune in July 23 for the adventures of Sissy, Peggy, Noleta, Lavonda, Latrelle and, of course, Brother Boy.
